South Granville High School

ALL IN. ALL ONE. ALL VIKINGS.

Meet the Admin

Ashley Clark, Principal

A woman with blonde hair smiles broadly, wearing a black top and silver jewelry.

I’m honored to serve as Principal of the newly merged South Granville High School. I’m a 1996 graduate of our longtime rival, J.F. Webb High School, and a proud two-time graduate of East Carolina University, where I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Go Pirates! I’m also a proud member of the North Carolina Principal Fellows Program, Class 16.

My educational journey has been deeply rooted in Granville County. About ten years ago, I had the privilege of serving as Assistant Principal here at South Granville, and I’m truly excited to return this time as principal. Over the years, I’ve also served as Principal of Northern Granville Middle School and Butner-Stem Middle School, and I look forward to continuing that work at the high school level, supporting students as they grow, achieve, and prepare for life beyond graduation.

I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Steven, and we have a beautifully blended family that includes our daughter, who attends Tar River Elementary, two sons of my own, and two amazing stepsons. They fill my life with joy and keep things busy in the best way!

When I’m not at school, you’ll likely find me spending time with my family, traveling with my family, or enjoying anything sports-related. Most of all, I’m proud to live and serve in the same community that shaped me. Giving back to Granville County is more than a job, it’s a calling and a privilege.

This school year marks an exciting new beginning as we bring together two school communities to form one strong Viking family. I’m filled with pride and optimism for what’s ahead and I can’t wait to put on that Viking blue and make this year one to remember. Go Vikings!
