Introduction to High School Math is a gateway course for students to reinforce foundational math skills in preparation for the required high school math track. Concepts covered include, but are not limited to:

·      Problem Solving with Decimals, Fractions, Mixed Numbers, Integers, Ratios, Proportions, and Percent

·      Prerequisite Geometry and Statistics Skills

·      Simplifying Algebraic Expressions, Solving Equations/Inequalities, and Absolute Value, Exponents, and Time

·      Introduction to Linear Functions

There will be weekly quizzes each Friday, along with Major Assessments at the end of each Unit. There will also be a mid-term the end of the 9 weeks quarter and final exam at the end semester. These exams will be broken into two parts: Part 1 (calculator inactive) & Part 2 (calculator active)
