Booster Club
The purpose of the South Granville Booster Club is to provide much needed financial support for all athletic programs at the school. It is our desire that each sport be provided for in a need-based, equitable manner. Uniforms, equipment, and facility upgrades represent the majority of our expenditures.

All over the country, local school boards have been forced to drastically cut athletic funding because of suppressed economic conditions. In fact, a “pay to play” approach has been adopted in many areas. At South Granville High School, we do not ever want to see a student turned away from athletic participation because they cannot afford to pay—hence the importance of the Booster Club. At this point, the Booster Club raises more than 3 times the money provided by the Granville County School Board as South Granville High School’s annual athletic allocation.

We instituted or “Big Billboard” advertising campaign in the Summer of 2008 in order to assist with our fundraising efforts and to allow our local businesses an opportunity to give back to the community while promoting their own organizations. During the school year, we also have plate sales, operate the athletic events concession stands, host a golf tournament, and participate in a variety of other endeavors in order to “further the cause.”

We certainly appreciate your consideration in this venture! If you have questions about the “Big Billboard” program or have interest in assisting the Booster Club in any other way, please don’t hesitate to contact us:
